It's supposed to be a better made reality. If it can help us learn anything, lots of people will take the risk. Myself included. I won't stay behind when people I know are getting hurt.

Apparently it's one of the realities he kept instead of collapsing it when passengers leave. So SOMETHING is special about it. Not sure what, but people were complaining about how the plants in camp were "wrong."
Also, he told Clarke 75% of the living creatures he creates turn out evil. So maybe there will be monsters.
